SOP fencing event for preparatory schools held

DOHA, February 29, 2016 – Under the theme “ Sport and Media”, the fencing competition for preparatory schools (boys) were successfully held at the Qatar Fencing Federation Indoor Hall on Sunday.

In Sunday’s fixtures, students from different schools across the country competed in the fencing’s three weapons including Epee, Foil and Sabre.

In the Foil event, Omar bin Khattab and Ibn Khaldoun schools cruised their way to the final match, while in the Epee event, Al Ahnaf bin Qais and Bonaparte French schools in Doha their booked place in the final.

While in the Sabre event, Al Andalus private school and Al Razi independent school confidently reach the final match.

The SOP seventh edition mainly aims to boost the integrity and honesty concepts inside the local community and educate the students to adopt values of integrity in their daily life.
