Sailors sparkle in Qatar Sailing Championship

DOHA, February 5, 2016 –  Qatar sailors got positive results on third day’s competitions of the prestigious Qatar International Sailing  Championship 2016 organized by Qatar Sailing and Marine Sports Federation (QSMSF) in Doha on Thursday.
In Thursday’s competitions, Malaysian’s Mohammed Ez El Deen claimed four titles  to lead  the standings ahead of his countryman  Mohammed Faqeeh El Deen who managed in the second place.
Qatar’s sailor Ghanim Al Suwaidi finished eighth  in the standings with (43 points), while his teammate  Khair El Deen Boshamah dropped to the 11th place holds (54).
The four day championship is bringing together sailors from countries worldwide including, Bahrain, Kuwait, France, USA, England, India, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Serbia, Norway ,  Slovenia and hosts Qatar.
Sailors are competing  in  six classes including, Optimist (single – teams) laser 4.7, Laser Radial, laser standard, 470 and Hobby 16.
The championship’s Organizing Committee has allocated valuable prize money for top winners where , the first place winner gets QR 10.000, Runner-up receives QR 7.000 and third place gets QR 4.000.
