Cyclists win 10 medals in Arab Championship

ABU DHABI, UAE, March 31, 2015 – Qatar cyclists kept their winning streak at the prestigious 7th Arab Cycling Championship 2015 by winning 10 medals in the conclusion of the event in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Monday.
In the Arab cycling championships closing scene in Abu Dhabi on Monday, Qatari cyclists confidently won 10 medals, including 3 gold, 6 silver and one bronze.
Qatar’s team comprising Hamad Al Bardini, Khaleel Al Ginan and Diego Horfield won the gold medal in the Men’s speed race.
Likewise, Qatar’s cycling team consists of Ibraheem Faris, Mohammed Abdul Hakeem, Alaa Ezz El Deen claimed the silver medal in Youth’s speed race, on the same track of victory, Ahmed Al Bardini clinched the silver medal in Men’s points race.
Mr. Naser Al Kaabi, the Assistant Secretary General of Qatar Cycling Federation (QCF) and Head of Qatari Delegation to the Championship lauded the positive results achieved by the cyclists at the championship.
The tournament brought together six Arab nations, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Morocco, Iraq and Hosts United Arab Emirates.
